Map Not Loading Properly
Wait a moment
Map tiles may take a few seconds to load from local storage, especially on first launch.
Check device storage
- Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage
- If storage is nearly full, free up space
- EUnify needs space to decompress map data
Reset map view
- In the Explore tab, tap the compass icon to reset orientation
- Use the zoom buttons or pinch to reset zoom level
Search Not Finding Results
Check your spelling
Try the full institution name or common abbreviations (e.g., "TU Delft" or "Delft University of Technology").
Remove filters
- Tap the filter icon
- Tap "Clear All" to remove active filters
- Search again
Try different terms
- Search by city name
- Search by country
- Search by program name
Can't Save Comparisons or Checklists
Check storage space
Your device may be running low on storage. Free up space and try again.
Force quit and retry
Close the app completely and reopen it, then try saving again.
Restart the app
If the problem persists, restart your device.
Profile Data Lost
Was the app deleted?
If you deleted EUnify, all local data is removed. You'll need to set up your profile again.
Restore from backup
If you previously exported your data:
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Data
- Tap "Import Data"
- Select your backup file
iOS restore
If you restored your iPhone from an iCloud or iTunes backup, your EUnify data should be included (unless you opted out of app data in backups).
Tours Not Playing
Check for the tour button
Not all institutions have scripted tours. Look for the "Take Tour" button on the detail page.
Wait for content to load
Tour content loads from local storage. Give it a moment on first access.
Try a different tour
City and country tours are always available. Try those if a specific campus tour isn't working.
Notifications Not Working
Check notification permissions
- Go to iOS Settings > EUnify
- Tap Notifications
- Enable "Allow Notifications"
Check in-app settings
- In EUnify, go to Profile > Settings
- Find Notification settings
- Enable the notifications you want
iPad Layout Issues
Rotate your device
Some layouts work better in landscape mode on iPad.
Check Split View
If using Split View or Slide Over, EUnify may display in compact mode. Give it more screen space for the full iPad layout.
Performance Issues
Close other apps
Free up memory by closing apps you're not using.
Restart your device
A fresh start often resolves performance issues.
Check for updates
Make sure you have the latest version of both EUnify and iOS.
