Your Rights Under EU Law

As a user in the European Union, you have strong data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). EUnify fully respects and implements these rights.

GDPR Rights Overview

Right to Access (Article 15)

You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.

  • In EUnify: Use the in-app export feature to download all your data instantly
  • Formal request: Submit a request through our Privacy Request portal

Right to Rectification (Article 16)

You can correct inaccurate personal data about you.

  • In EUnify: Edit your profile directly in the app
  • For server data: Contact support to correct any issues

Right to Erasure (Article 17)

Also known as the "right to be forgotten," you can request deletion of your personal data.

  • Local data: Delete app or use "Clear All Data" in settings
  • Server data: Submit a deletion request through our portal

Right to Data Portability (Article 20)

You can receive your data in a portable format and transfer it to another service.

  • In EUnify: Export your data as JSON (machine-readable format)
  • Secure transfer: Data is signed with Ed25519 for verification

Right to Object (Article 21)

You can object to processing of your data for certain purposes.

  • Analytics: Opt out in app settings
  • Personalization: Disable in privacy settings

Right to Restriction (Article 18)

You can request that we limit how we use your data.

  • Contact us to discuss specific restrictions

Exercising Your Rights

Option 1: In-App (Fastest)

For most actions, use the built-in privacy controls:

  1. Go to Profile > Settings
    Access your privacy and data settings.
  2. Find Privacy Controls
    Options for export, deletion, and preferences.
  3. Take Action
    Export data, clear history, or adjust settings instantly.

Option 2: Privacy Request Portal

For formal requests or complex issues:

  1. Visit Privacy Request Portal
  2. Select Request Type
    Choose: Access, Rectification, Erasure, Portability, or Other
  3. Verify Your Identity
    Complete email verification and security questions
  4. Submit Request
    Provide details about your request
  5. Track Status
    Use your request ID to check progress

Response Times

Identity Verification

To protect your data from unauthorized access, we verify identity using a tiered system:

Tier 1: Email Verification

Confirm access to your email address

Tier 2: Knowledge Questions

Answer questions about your account activity

Tier 3: Manual Review

For high-sensitivity requests, our team may review manually

Why Verify? Verification protects you. Without it, anyone could request your data or delete your account.

Special Categories

Children's Data

EUnify requires users to be at least 16 years old, complying with GDPR Article 8. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Sensitive Data

We do not process sensitive personal data such as:

  • Racial or ethnic origin
  • Political opinions
  • Religious beliefs
  • Health data
  • Sexual orientation
